From trading gemstones and diamonds, to bagging the 4th position gold in a national level powerlifting championship

Athlete Tejas Gaikwad has done it all. With versatile certifications and experience in functional training, Olympic lifting, and cross fit, the athlete started his journey in 2014. He earned his way through the industry with multiple district-level wins in weightlifting and bodybuilding, under the brilliant guidance of his coach, Mr. Sandesh Ambekar. He also won prestigious gold and silver medals in the Bench Press and Deadlift category respectively at the competition organised by Amateur Powerlifting Association, Mumbai. A slip disc injury between the years proved to be a setback for his health, but nothing that the passionate champion couldn’t overcome. A powerlifting championship at the Mumbai Suburbs in 2020 was his first gold amongst many. With constant inspiration from his coach and from Mr. Manoj More, The Strongman of India, Tejas carved a path of achievements with a gold in Chhattisgarh Nationals.

The fitness enthusiast tends to focus completely on nutrition, dedicated schedules, and getting better as an athlete. His discipline allows him to be at the top of his game with a rigorous lean workout routine. Tejas is also associated with Esperer, a passionate sports management company, that widens horizons for athletes from every field. This collaboration has borne tremendous fruit, creating a higher reach for the athlete, along with multiple branding opportunities. He started with Prostuff as his first sponsor, and has now worked with Auric and Monster Energy, getting better with each of his endeavours.

His followers truly look up to his transformational journey as he transgressed multiple hurdles related to stability, finances, and facilities. In accord of future plans, Tejas aims to accomplish the title of Mr. Mumbai Shree, the most awaited and prestigious bodybuilding event of the year. He also pledges to continue being an inspiration for ambitious athletes and hopes to imprint powerlifting and bodybuilding into mainstream media.
